How Stacey Found Strength in Serving Wholeheartedly

by | Nov 28, 2022

Our Education Program is built on a spirit of service. The students in our program have taught us the value of giving with all of ourselves. They’ve built this program on a pillar of Wholehearted Service. Let’s hear from our student Stacey on how she’s found herself and her strength by serving others!

“My name is Stecy Awuor Wasonga, and I’m 28 years old. I am an Accounting student in my final year at Kisii University pursuing Bachelor of Commerce. I joined Take Heart in the year 2013. Though I come from a background of lacking much, the Wholehearted Service pillar of the Take Heart program has made even me to feel privileged. Helping and serving others has helped me find a sense of my own identity and confidence. It has helped me find worth in who I am beyond my academics and future career. Volunteering weekly at a childrens home and participating in quarterly Serve Days has really changed my life. I now understand the benefits of giving back to the society and serving other people wholeheartedly. It has challenged me and given me the opportunity to display more passion, extend more trust, and build some stronger connections with others, attracting the same in return. This pillar of our program helps transform what we do and how we do it as members of the Take Heart family.”

There is so much to be gained by giving! Let’s follow Stacey’s lead by giving wholeheartedly to reach our $6,000 goal this #GivingTuesday! Donate Here!
