In Kind Donations2015-03-02T15:17:34+00:00

Gifts in kind are gifts of items that are voluntarily given by a donor (you) to The Take Heart Project without compensation. Yard sale & consignment store donations with a total value over $250 are eligible to receive a tax deduction. Gifts of services are not considered to be a tax deductible contribution.

Click here to download and print the donation receipt form.

Federal law provides that clothing and household goods must be in “good used condition or better” for tax deductions and that all values be assigned by the donor (you). We legally cannot do this for you. You must fill out the in-kind donation receipt form (found here), and bring it with you when you drop off your items. We will sign it for you and you will need to keep the signed form as your donation record. We will not retain a copy of this receipt.

For an explanation of what items are deductible, how much you can deduct, and what records to keep, please read IRS publication Form 526.

As always, we appreciate your support!
